Discrete Math 2 does get harder, but he's right there the whole time ready to explain anything that doesn't "sit well" with the class. Quizzes and Tests are short and fair, and his side comments are hilarious. Take him, even if it's at 8AM, it's worth it. |

| 99 | 20012 | EXCELLENT! He's a great teacher. He knows his stuff, and teaches it well. I've learned a lot from him. Truly learned, not just memorized for a test. He's a great guy too, eh. He gives Homework regularly, but you only have to turn in a few selected problems. The test and quizzes don't have any suprises on them. There just what he says they will be. I've had him for the 240 series math for two quarterd now, and he is b far the best math teacher I ever had. |

Homework assignments are great and he's lenient if you need some extra time to complete it. Overall great professor, I wish I could have him next quarter too. |

| 99 | 20011 | Brooks is absolutely the best math teacher I've ever had. I hate math, but he makes it interesting. A great sense of humor and a Canadian accent can do a lot for the subject. You have to hand in homework for a grade, but its a reasonable amount. The tests and quizzes are usually easier than the homework was! He's very understanding if you forget your homework, just tell him and hand it in later. Always willing to answer your questions, and very available for extra help during office hours. And best of all he doesn't get mad when you're late to class! |

I registered for his 8 am class 2ed quarter (he was the motivation; I am a night person), but it was DROPPED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT ENROLLMENT! I am crushed. Why God, why? I hope Tascione will be good, but Dr. Brooks is a tough act to follow. I sincerely hope to have him again. If I don't, I'll miss him |
| 99 | 20011 | Although I ended up withdrawing from his class due to a failing grade, I really wish I could have stayed in his class. I thought his teaching style was admirable, and while he gave you enough homework to keep you on track, it wasn't so much that you were completely swamped with claculus work. He is very helpful in and after class as well. His office is open to anyone that needs help when he is there, and he always has a solution for your problem. I had never taken a calc course before, but he helped me to understand something that was way out of my league, and I think it wil help when I retake the course next quarter. |
