95 | 20011 | Lectures are usually dry, but that's ok. Dr. Brogaard presented a good Ethics class. The problem is, how do you present material on a subject that is common sense? If you go to class, you will have no problem getting an A. As for a previous comment regarding the grading of the final - it's a take-home final...I threw mine together in about 2 hours and got an A in the course, so that should help your judgement. Learned a substantial amount about applications of ethics. |
95 | 20003 | Good professor. Teaches material from the book, lacks a little in style, but makes it worth it if you come to class. |
65 | 20003 | Teaches right out of the book, has no material/addition of her own(like most teachers) Papers are ok, but watch out for her grading horribly on the final paper. She can't teach, period she knows her material, but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to TEACHING. |
65 | 20002 | overly redundant, goes over the same topic repeatedly for 2 weeks.
tests are a joke, papers are a waste of time, has a nasty habit of calling on people alphabetically to answer questions out of the book... good thing you don't have to have any teaching skills to get a degree in philosophy |
95 | 20002 | Good lectures. She knows the material well, but is willing to go over it until it is clear to the rest of the class. 75% of the grade is based on the midterm and final which are carbon copies of the quizes given in class throughout the course. A good deal of reading, but do the work and you will be fine. |
