9920012Although I have not had him for class yet, he is my academic advisor. Great man! He has made me look at R.I.T and the staff here in a whole new way... very fun to talk with, and all in all... just great... i look forward to having him in class!
7820012Dr. Merrill is certainly suited to be the department head. He is knowledgable in the class he teaches (General Physiology), and always strives to present an educational and entertaining class. His only downfall is that he is a little too picky over small details. Also, if you're in Biotech like me, you'll probably wonder why you're wasting your college tuition on General Phys. Most people could care less.
6120012I gave Dr. Merrill a D- for several reasons. First, he didn't get an F only because as department head, he has helped me out with academic stuff. However, as a professor, his class is horrible. General Physiology does not relate at all to anything I am interested in, which basically reduces this course to a scientific writing class. Labs aren't interesting, exams are a big change from Intro to Developmental, and Dr. Merrill seems to patronize people a lot.
9520011I have not had him in class, but as a department head, he has already helped me out. He is also very easy to talk to and get a hold of
