Don't be offended if she seems to always be arguing with your opinion; I think it's her way of challenging your views and getting you to really question them. For the most part she made the class interesting (I was afraid it would be really boring). Beware: she tends to bring feminism into many of the discussions although I wouldn't say that she was biased against the guys in the class. |
| 85 | 20012 | She is hard because she expects a lot out of you. If you come to class and take notes, I think you will learn a lot. She has a TA grade your papers so it's always returned with a B. It never explains why you got the B. Wierd. |
| 53 | 20012 | Yeah sure I passed the class with flying colors...still doesnt make her a great teacher. After the first week it was clear that I would learn more about philosophy on my own than from her. In fact I was one of the many who decided to stay home and catch up on their sleeping on a nice comfy bed as opposed to doing it in her class. The topics had potential...the teacher on the other hand does not. The essays were laughable, and the final exam was just terms and common sense. But in the end I did learn the most valuable lesson to date, some teachers are more full of BS than the students. |

When we get into ethical discussions within the class, she never compromises, and treats her opinions as fact. I believe she's new, though. Near the end of the class, I saw some slight improvement (I actually went an entire class without falling asleep). That combined with the ease of the class and the final gives her a C-. |

I would suggest avoiding this teacher if you are not interested in Philosphy and liberal arts courses, otherwise go ahead and take her. I got a B - didn't go to class often because I would fall asleep anyway even though I tried to stay awake and take notes. Had I been able to stay awake and pay attention I probably would have gotten the easy A. |

| 48 | 20012 | I don't trust this "thing" any farther than I can spit. She does not deserve a spot teaching at our institution, or even cleaning maneur from stables for that matter. She takes an interesting topic and makes it boring, fails to understand her students and is inconsistent in her grading policies. |

Half the class had the brains to skip her class and just hand in her crappy essays. Her grading policy is way off base too. One time I get a D and then the next I get an A. Its the SAME EXACT WRITING damn it. Whats worse is that Mullet Man was in the class. |
