Her background is not IT, it's graphic design, but this does not hinder her excellent style, and likely enhances the experience. No other professor in any department, in any class has engaged me more than Prof. Oyzon. If you can't get her for 330 Lecture, or at least Lab, think long and hard about putting the class off to another quarter. That's how good she is. |

She's more a friend who hangs out and plays favorites than a real professor you can learn from. No knowledge of subject matter at all. Yeah..with a bunch of f*** words, the class does get a little "interesting" but not everyone is paying 20 grand a year for that. Grading is EASY but highly biased. Cannot tell you too much. Im afraid that if this is read by Prof Oyzon Ill get some unexpected grades. The worst professor on RIT. Has no heart at all...a very selfish and a nasty minded person |

1. Class lectures are conducted as open forums. Basically a hour (or more, god save you) worth of Q&A for people who dont know how to do their class projects. There is rarely any structure to it, and if you already know what you are doing, the Q&A sessions get EXTREMELY BORING. 2. She doesnt grade her own assignments. She has graders doing all of the evaul. work for her. The only time she looks at the assignment is if there is a large despute over the grade. 3. Will NOT reply to email questions if she feels the question is stupid and/or not worth answering. Nice lady, fun to listen to, terrible teacher. |

I've had her for Human Factors and although normally it wouldn't be that exciting of a class, Prof. Oyzon makes it interesting, fun, and enjoyable. She finds ways to bring her worldly experience into her lecture, keeps the lecture tone casual, and always encourages questions and comments from her students. She's also a renowned multimedia artist #some interesting stuff can be found if you put her name into a search engine. Prof. Oyzon is great, and I recommend her to everyone. |

She goes out of her way to help you if you've already had her and if I could take more courses with her I would in a heartbeat. She is the best and you're lucky if you can get her. |
| 99 | 20002 | I had her for my 730 (Graduate version of IDM) and she was great! I read the comments below and believe everything you read about having a FUN class with her while learning a lot. Very approachable. Very energetic. Lively discussions. And yes, she goes off-tangent but that is part of what makes her classes more interesting than the others. I don't think grading is biased. The projects are challenging. If you give her everything she asked for, then you'd get a good grade. If you turn it a mediocre project, then expect a bad grade but she would point out what you can improve on. She's been known to have students resubmit improved versions of projects so you can recover some point. Nice to have a second chance. Very open-minded. I think people are entitled to not like her and give negative feedbacks. But I urge those people to look into themselves first. If you're not learning anything, maybe you could be the problem too especially if the majority learn a lot from her. As for people getting grades that they don't think they deserve, well maybe your projects really sucked! So my advice is just to study harder and work harder on your projects. And don't slam good teachers just because you are slackers! |
