7520023Hope for your sake that your test is essay. His multiple choice tests are filled with errors and ambiguities. The test answers do not necessarily match what is in the outline. Be careful in the outline because not all info is together. Got an 89 (B) in the class due to ONE test question that 80% of the class got wrong due to his wording, yet he would not yield. Had no trouble with his essay tests though.
9920023I took Dr. Lee for Econ II in Fall 2003. Perhaps most people don't understand his teaching style. It may seem a bit strict, but the tests are not based on just memorization. Dn't just spit back what he writes on the outline.. add some words and show him that you really learned. His lectures definitely elaborate on what is on his outline, and there is a genuine concern for learning and application of Econ in life. Take his class if you not only want to learn economics, but how it applies in real life. He is a funny and sincere man and you will learn 10x more than from any slides or outline.
9920013Absolutely the best!!!
No homeworks. Only 3 exams.
7520012This professor is very smart and knows his stuff. He teaches very well. His grading though is very arbitrary.
8820012Presented the material very well and tried to make it funny by telling jokes. Tests were a bit difficult and you have to put exactly what he gives in the notes or you get a lot of points off. If it wasn't for the fact that he takes attendace, you could just take the tests and copy his outline word for work to get an A.
9920011this guy kicks serious ass! if you're looking for a good economics teacher Lee is it. Not only is he funny but he gives you the exam questions in advanced. No homework, just three exams. If you take the four hour course with him he lets you out by 8:30 every time. Great teacher and a class you'll enjoy if you take it with him.
8120004Had him for Economics II. He hands out the notes for the class first day, and they are all you need. But he does a great job elaborating on them (if you can follow his dialect). He is very strict with attendance too. You can learn something from him if you use the notes in combination with lecture. His tests are all essays. Reproduce the notes he gives you in the essay, and you will get a good grade. IF you don't, you will get a bad grade, even if you wrote a good essay.
5820003Im sorry, there is more to economics than pure memory. And even if you memorize he grades all on essays. That are not really essays. This guy has no guidlines for grading, its whatever he decides. Also I was affended with him saying americans were lazy and in Korea they were better. He teaches like they do, he doesnt care about use or application of knowledge just memorization
8820003I took Dr. Lee for Economics I and he covered the material very well. He gives no homework but his exam grading is on the harsher side.
8820003Professor Lee hands out the notes on the first day of class. If you can memorize them and reproduce them exactly as he has them written out then you can do well in the class.
