9520023One of the most hardcore professors I've ever had. Cool guy, but he'll make you WORK for your grade, and you'll learn a lot. Loves to cram enormous amounts of information into a single lecture, and it shows in the form of his notes. My only beef is that he's a little absent-minded, so you'll have to remind him about simple things, like grading homework. During Silicon Processes, expect to have your "midterm" somewhere around the 8th week.
6120023This guy is nuts.. Has no idea what is appropriate to assign and expect.. Worst teacher in the Micro-E department.
9120023very intelligent, interested in the material. Sometimes assigns too much work, but his grading has become softer over the years.
9520023Knows his stuff, and pretty good at explaining it. Assigns homework sets with 6 or so reasonable problems and 1 insane problem, but I still pulled an A every time without completing the insane problems. Does not have a good sense of humor towards students who go insane during the rochester winter. He also had 2 TA's that did his grading. One TA liked me, one didn't, I could guess who graded my work. Tests were really easy if you were a MicroE undergrad, Grad students had a lot of trouble with the material. None of this really matters though, since you have no choice as far as which class to take.
9520003Good teacher, nice guy. His tests can be challenging but they are industry oriented and good tests of your skills. If you are taking IC tech from the guy you should expect to learn this material. This is the basis for being a MicroE.
8520002Karl is a very nice person and an excellent professor. But my only complaint is that his exams are too intense for the material he covers. I'm usually able to follow most professors, but Karl gets me lost sometimes. Watch out for his IC Tech final!
9920002He does a excellent job in teaching to the microelectronic engineering students. He gave us a fair in the test and quiz and homework. He should stay in RIT for a while.
