99 | 20023 | Margaret rocks, and there's not much more to say. Not so easy you don't learn anything, and also extremely fun. I wish the rest of the CS department would think more like her. |
71 | 20023 | Shes very nice. Helpful most of the time. Tough grader on tests. If your answer isn't perfect you get a -1, Even if you do understand the material. |

99 | 20023 | Very kind, very good at helipng, easy teaching, gets information across well |
99 | 20023 | Margaret Reek in my 4 year experience, the best prof. at RIT hands down. She really cares about the students. She does anything and everything to make sure that everyone in the class understands the concepts she is teaching. She also uses real world examples to illustrate her point which makes it very easy to grasp concepts. She does grade tests very strictly but you are allowed to have a note sheet. I cant say enough nice things about Margaret Reek. If you get a chance take one of her classes. |
99 | 20012 | Great teacher and a great person! |
99 | 20012 | Extremely nice, gave us candy. Felt like kindergarten again. |
99 | 20011 | Absolutely amazing professor. She definately deserves her position as head of the CS dept., although I wish she would still be able to teach. I had an amazing time in her class. She encouraged questions and answered them nicely. She was easily approachable outside of class for just about anything. I would definately take an 8 am with her. |
99 | 20011 | Best teacher I have taken so far. It's too bad she will no longer be teaching - I would take her again in a heartbeat. She understands students, and can really help you out. |
99 | 20011 | Margaret is my all-time favorite professor at RIT. I'm mad at her for becoming Department Chair because she's not teaching any classes for me to take now. :-P
If you have the opportunity to take her class (Pro Comm and Systems Programming I), DO IT. She's fun and relaxed in class and will do everything she can to make sure you understand the topic. If there are questions, she answers them effectively. If she doesn't know something, she will look it up and have the answer in the next class. She points out interesting topics as they come up and uses good examples and exercises in class to demonstrate complex (and simple) concepts. If Margaret Reek is an option, take it! - Clear understanding of her topic. - Long time experience teaching (and in industry prior to that) - Will do what it takes for you to understand - Innovative in-class examples and exercises - Tests are right on the mark with content and difficulty |
99 | 20003 | She is a very friendly, lenient, easy-going person. Easy grader. For some reason, I'm betting she was a hardcore hippy in the 60's. |
99 | 20003 | There is no professor that cares more about the students anywhere. |
99 | 20003 | Great Professor. She makes time to help you through any questions you ask. Very thorough and has a way of putting you at ease when you are nervous that you don't understand!! A true inspiration! |

99 | 20002 | Easy to learn from, keeps class attentive |
95 | 20002 | Keeps class interesting, explains things well, gives us exercises to help reinforce material, always asks if there are questions and is very helpful when answering them |

99 | 20002 | Excellent professor. Highly recommended!! |
99 | 19993 | Margaret is an outstanding professor. Her classes are fun and upbeat - as well as well taught. She s one of the few professors willing to admit when she doesn t know something -and- come in the next day and start the class by answering the question she didn t know.
She s won the Eisenhard Excellence in Teaching award - for a reason. |
95 | 19993 | She s knowledgable and super nice! |
95 | 19993 | Rivaled only by her husband, Margaret puts in a huge effort to make sure that her student understand the material. Projects can be impossibly hard. |
