99 | 20023 | Professor Cliver has a great rep for a good reason. He takes a lot of time to get to know his students--he is often credited with helping them make it through the program. But he does this for any student (in or out of his classes), and while it makes his office hour a noisy and hectic time, it also gives him the opportunity to pass on lots of knowledge and wisdom. This guy knows how to teach and just plain live, and I recommend him for any class you can take with him. He and Ciccarelli are a good team in the hall, and if the keeping of the department is someday passed onto them, the future should be bright. |
95 | 20023 | Very good professor. First of all, this is the only professor I've ever had where it's possible to get a 100 on something and learn a lot AND still have time for other classes. He is patient, clear and helpful. He is on campus a lot and will even work with you off campus on the weekend! He even got some students co-op jobs at Kodak. It's simple: if you pass up taking Cliver, you're crazy. |
99 | 20023 | To say that Rick Cliver is one of the best, if not the best, professors at RIT, is greatly understating matters. His humor and excellent attitude toward learning make the class atmosphere an exciting place to be, while he is more than happy to help out on any subject material he can outside of class. His door is always open, and he turns you onto the subject even if you thought it would be boring. Take any classes you can with Rick, it's well worth it. |
99 | 20023 | Had him for AC circuits. That's all I need to say, everything else is in the other posts! |
95 | 20023 | What can you say its Cliver. awsome loved the cookies. |
99 | 20023 | Excellent teacher. Funny. Good grader. Writes his own labs which aren't the best but they aren't bad. Has cookies. |
99 | 20012 | Professor Cliver is so awesome. He is definitely one of the best if not THE best teacher at RIT. You can tell by the way he teaches that he loves kids and loves teaching. Oh, and he is also pretty much a genius and can answer ANY question you throw at him about the material. Trust me...you'll see. You'll never regret taking one of his classes. PROMISE! |
99 | 20012 | Very Funny Guy! Good Teacher if you understand whats going on at all... |
95 | 20012 | Excellent teacher. Does not force lots of work upon you, but gives you the opportunity to learn and really understand the material. Lots of fun, and really cares about how you do in his class. |
95 | 20011 | I had Prof. Cliver for Intro to Digital Systems; he does a great job of bringing real life applications to the classroom. His quizes and tests are very fair and match the homework closely. He answers all questions throughly and even lets you out early on a regular basis. |
99 | 20011 | Best professor I ever had at RIT. Helps student in anyway possible and is very personable. |

99 | 20003 | His teaching style is both entertaining and stimulating. He tries new things and generally wants his students to learn.
P.S. His wife, Laura, makes great cookies (which are generally always available at office hours). P.S.S. He should get a jacuzzi in his office. |
99 | 20002 | Perhaps, the best professor here at RIT. His tests and quizze are generally very fair. He's easy to approach with questions and always willing to help. His knowledge of the material is very and he is able to effectively share his knowledge with his students. He has the ability to motivate students to learn. A ture diamond in the rough at RIT. |
