95 | 20023 | Great professor. His lectures are very thought-provoking and intelligent. He spent some time in Washington and he knows his stuff. Also he posts all his notes on mycourses. If you pay attention in class and read over his notes, his essay tests should not be too hard. Gotta be able to write though. He is a funny, smart, friendly guy. |
99 | 20023 | Sutton is simply the MAN. That is all that needs to be said. I had him for Legislative Process and I enjoyed the class very much. Sutton is a very fair grader and is very willing to help students outside of class. I would say take him if you get the chance ! |
95 | 20023 | I had professor Sutton for Political Ideologies last quarter. Considering we had a two hour, 8 AM class on politics, he did a remarkable job. As has been said, if you do the assignments and prepare for tests ahead of time you'll do well... |

95 | 20012 | I had this professor for American Politics and he was pretty good. He's funny and understands the subject pretty well. We had maybe one homework assignment the whole quarter and he clearly announces all quizzes and tests, which are composed mostly of writing short answers. You've probably seen him hanging around Java Wally's drinking coffee and argueing politics. |
95 | 20012 | Had him for Legislative Process...the class was very relaxed and we always got out early (which most people probably consider a good thing in a 4 hour class). However, the class discussions and readings were almost always very on-topic and relevant which meant I got quite a bit out of this class.
All in all, good class, good prof. |
