75 | 20023 | Im still trying to figure out what Im learning in his class. He acts kind of cocky, which is annoying. |
58 | 20023 | This guy is f'ing worthless, i took IMM and he gave me an F, first off claimed "i failed the practical", i show it to him and it works perfectly, looks at the math, "my book says you have an F", i tell him to do the math, i have a C+, this guy doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground |
75 | 20023 | Was boring and often was late to class. Didn't learn anything from him. (Intro to MM)
Then again, I already knew all the stuff that he "taught" |
85 | 20023 | He's a stand up guy but very laid back and easy going. Fair and knows his stuff for Human Factors. I wasn't able to get the book so he let me borrow his for the whole quarter. He's a good guy and answers questions well although sometimes he seems spaced out. |

48 | 20023 | When i startIMM i didnt know about the functionality of dreamweaver and fireworks and when i left the class i still didnt know.... I learned nothing in his IMM class other than the fact that he made me consider changing my concentration after all the bad website grades i recieved... When I asked for an explanation he basically kept passing the buck and I eventually gave up.... He also put content that wasnt taught in class on our midterm and our TA HAD TO SHOW US HOW TO DO IT IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR PRACTICUM.... BASICALLY DONT TAKE IMM WITH JACOBS IF YOUR GPA MATTERS TO YOU |
58 | 20023 | he is really lazy and unorganized...he gave our mid term paper back 2 or 3 days before the finals!! |
68 | 20023 |
Had him for an online course, 4002-718. He seems to know the topic, but rarely did anything that helped us understand it. Any knowledge I gained from this course was from the readings, not the discussions, which were unfocused and lagged frequently. Feedback from work was virtually nil, and grading was sporadic. I intend to avoid this guy-I'll stop in and pick up a syllabus for interesting reading, but I don't want him responsible for my grade. |
78 | 20012 | You'll get by just showing up to class and turning in the work. Doesn't have to be great. |
88 | 20012 | Will give an assignment and then leaves class for an hour. Doesn't give a lot of work and a fairly easy grader. A little loopy though. |
85 | 20011 | Disorganized. Emotional. Fun. Gets upset when students don't follow through but expects to be excused when he doesn't. Overall a good teacher. |
65 | 20003 | He knows alot and is enthusiastic about the technology, but it is extreamly hard to learn from him in the classroom. He will let the advanced students in the class take over, leaving the inexperienced people who came to learn something to desire. |
91 | 20003 | Great teacher. Very professional and enthusiastic. No room for misinterpretation of assignments as they were always well spelled out.
|
65 | 20003 | I've never had this guy but I have heard him speak several times and he seems like such a moron. His mind is stuck in 1969 and makes attempts in every lecture to tie the topic of discussion in with the grateful dead. He is also a very harsh grader, which seems to be counter to his grassroots method of thought. Get a haircut, hippie! You should be touring with phish instead of teaching. |
68 | 20002 | His assignments change from class to class and he seems to make up work off the top of his head. His classes are chaotic and extremely unorganized |
58 | 20002 | Avoid having this teacher at all costs. His he unorganized, does not post things on first class when he says he will. He doesn't grade things in a timely manner. He constantly goes out of town for his little expos. He does tell some good jokes on occassion, but since he cant teach and gave 70% of my class an F on their Interface design paper, DONT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I've never felt so strongly against a professor in my life. He isnt teacher material. Sorry. |
81 | 20002 | you'll get your grades. . . eventually. a smart guy who seems to know the direction that technology is headed, but be prepared to teach yourself a lot. |
88 | 20002 | |
99 | 20002 | Another great IT professor who makes class fun (if you can believe that). Expect to work hard, but enjoy it. |
95 | 20002 | great teacher, but there was one time that he would not help me do homework for another class during his and i felt educationally raped |
88 | 20002 | tons of work tough grader, but lectures are fun. once you get him off-track, u will want to stay extra time after class. ask him about his bike. |
81 | 20002 | |
48 | 20002 | Terrible, he didnt teach well, he would give big assignments with no time to do them in, and would never post things he said he would |
68 | 20001 | Does not leave notes on screen nearly long enough for students to copy them all. I did not enjoy class. I did not enjoy his jokes. We wasted two or three classes discussing topics that had nothing to do with the course material. Seems kind of full of himself. |
95 | 20001 | Has a great sense of humor. An excellent professor. |
88 | 20001 | |
75 | 20001 | He should consider performing a usability test on his own exams. Forget about taking notes, unless you can write as fast as you listen. |
99 | 19993 | Coolest guy in the IT department. Gadget boy, its all about the gadget boy. |
