The only thing I don't like is that he uses power point all the time, but he doesn't only use it in the sense that it is always up on the screen but we will chat in class to keep you awake. Which is good :-) |

He doesn't just lecture, he involves the class in discussion and demonstration of concepts. A very friendly and fair guy. Take him whenever you can. |

His classes were actually somewhat fun, even though I don't like economics. The work wasn't too hard either. I got an A. He helped alot, and I would definitely recommend him. |

However, he is more than happy to answer questions and will give you all the time he can when helping you. His tests are fair and as someone said he doesn't allow calculators. But come on, if you can't do simple math without a calculator then maybe you shouldn't take econ right now. A good guy and a good teacher. |
| 81 | 20012 | Professor Delavan is one of the better economics teachers here at RIT. He's also a young professor and fall quarter was his first term here. He has some trouble conveying certain concepts to students, but is overall not a bad teacher. He's also always more then willing to help if you take the time to goto his office hours. I do disagree with the fact that he does not allow ANY calculators on tests, even non-graphing ones. Overall he is a fair grader and keeps a very nice atmosphere in the classroom. Take the guy if you get a chance. |

He is very laid back and very easy to talk to, both inside and outside of class. He made the class a lot of fun and has a great sense of humor. I feel bad for the people who gave him F's. If they only showed up to class every now and then, they would realize he teaches the material well, while still making you interested in economics! |

| 48 | 20011 | This is the worst prof. I have ever had. It is evident he has not gone through any of the examples he tries to present because he cannot complete them. During class someone asked a question he didn't like, as a result he assigned us an ENTIRE extra section of homework due during finals week. I don't know about him for the lower levle classes but he just can't cut it for the upper ones. |
