95 | 20023 | This professor is different in that he requires the student to learn more like you would in the real world. He does not lecture, rather he expects ytou to research the material a little, and to ask questions. He knows the stuff well and his answers are always just what was needed, but be warned--he wants you to ask the questions BEFORE they come up on the day of a lab or test. If you wait until then it is too late. Other than all that, keep a nice neat notebook in Lab, show some initiative, and you will do fine. |
99 | 20023 | Had him twice for Microcomputer and Microcontrollers - got an A in both classes because I understood the material very very well. My advice to everybody - put in the extra time in the lab, work at home.. As long you really understand what is going on and you do not fall behind, you show that you are interested and you try and put yourself into the course, you WILL get an A. I know some friends who did not really understand the basics, and they had a hard time.. But if you make sure to understand the basics, you're all set for a good grade. He's very helpful as well as long you dont expect him to give you the answer on a silver plate - i.e. he'll give you things to help you come up with the answer yourself - but you gotta know the basics and the material - period. |
48 | 20023 | Worst professor in this school. Has no clue how to teach. |
99 | 20023 | He has a bad reputation, but if you apply yourself he is one of the nicest professors in the dept. He knows his stuff and is a fair grader if you approach him about it. |

95 | 20012 | You will learn in his classes. Labs simulate real world jobs in many ways. Good documentation is required. If you enjoy the subject matter, you will do well. You are required to be able to interpret text and reference materials to complete labs and tests. Some tests can have obscure questions, or questions relating to a single block of code. I do not beliefe tests truly indicate the students' learnining, but you will learn, believe me. |
95 | 20011 | Great professor. He spends a lot of time in class answering questions and covering material that students are having trouble with - as long as you have the courage you don't understand something. He expects you to read the book and learn from the book. Tests were open book, open notes. Great professor in lab. Was available in office when I sought assistance and to pick up a test; he took time to go over all of my mistakes and explain things I didn't understand. He is interesting to listen to, not boring at all... seems to know the material very well. I highly recommend Bankes for Microcomputers. |
48 | 20011 | Does not assist student in any way. Does not answer student questions. |
48 | 20003 | this was the worst prof i've ever had....avoid taking him at all costs! |

53 | 20002 | did this man get a teaching degree? don't ask a question unless you already know the answer or you have hours to read the book. |
88 | 20002 | Although you are required to do a lot of work in his class, he is very approachable. If he knows you are doing the homework and really trying in the labs he will help you out as much as possible. |
